Arts 50 Alive! : Bringing Generations Together

When Arts 50 Alive! first started back in 2000 very few organisations had a strategy or had even thought of inter-generational practice. We have come a long way since then in developing projects to bring the generations together. We are low key, but effective! We are local to our member organisations and yet we have been very successful in encouraging local people of all age groups to work together. We believe that this builds strong relationships and flourishing communities.  We have also found that increasingly we are using a whole range of arts media as a means of engaging people of all ages.  For this reason, we have now updated our constitution to emphasise our aim of “Using the arts to bring everyone together” but still with a focus on:

“Bringing the generations together”.

This website should inspire any organisation wishing to develop or improve their  inter-generational practice using the arts to achieve this aim.  The projects are often fun, leading to lasting outcomes, which can impact greatly on participant’s lives.

ENJOY!
